Sticks and Stones
These are all or mostly made, as the title implies, of sticks and stones. They were mostly found on Connecticut beaches or in the forest near Lake Winnepesaukee, New Hampshire. Their new life as gestural figures I think echoes the constant recycling and rebirth in nature. There is also an implied invitatiion to go beyond "name-calling" and see the playful life that's beyond all labels.
